West End Lights 2026 takes place on Friday 4 December 2026, 6 pm to 9 pm.
Enjoy yourself on our special night. Stay safe and be mindful that traffic will be flowing as usual through the West End, so please keep a particular look out for your excited little ones.
The Map
The map for the night of 4/12/2026, 6 to 9 pm will fill up with illuminations and contributions closer to the date. Want to take part? Join our illuminators mailing list (no need if you signed up in previous years) and we will let you know when you can put yourself on the map.
What’s on
- Illuminations: front windows turned into cinema screens, shadow plays and light sculptures across the West End
- Charitable contributions: home-baked treats, warming drinks and handmade crafts, offered for free or for a good cause
- Local businesses: open for refreshments and to warm up
- Kids trail: our light-themed trail for children exploring the illuminations
This year’s posters and postcards are once again designed by children from two local schools. We will reveal the winning designs soon, so keep an eye on your letterbox!
